Why Is It Called Fruits and Fly Shit?
At first glance, the title Fruits and Fly Shit sounds ridiculous.
That is intentional.
As educators, parents, and students, we compete for attention every day. Social media, advertisements, videos, games, and endless notifications all fight for a child's focus. Sometimes the biggest challenge is simply getting someone curious enough to stop and think.
🔬 Explore Creative STEAM ActivitiesFruits and Fly Shit began as an experiment in educational engagement.
The project uses humor, unusual language, and unexpected combinations of ideas to encourage curiosity and discussion. The goal is not to promote inappropriate language. The goal is to demonstrate that memorable learning often starts with surprise, creativity, and conversation.
Parents frequently discuss an important lesson with children:
There is a difference between language that may be acceptable at home, language used for humor, and language that is appropriate in school, professional settings, and public communication.
That distinction itself becomes a learning opportunity.
Many of the activities connected to Fruits and Fly Shit focus on:

• Creative writing
• STEAM activities
• Critical thinking
• Observation and inquiry
• Parent-child discussion
The title grabs attention.
The learning keeps it.
In many ways, Fruits and Fly Shit reflects an important educational principle: students remember what makes them curious.
The project is intended as a creative companion to Steel Skill Academy and represents one educator's belief that learning can be rigorous, meaningful, and occasionally a little weird.
